The Financial Solutions Lab is a community of startups, financial services companies, and nonprofit organizations building solutions to improve the financial lives of Americans.

Our aim is ambitious: Over five years we will identify, test, and bring to scale financial innovations that substantially improve the lives of hard-working Americans. We are armed with deep knowledge of customer behavior, marketplace trends, and financial services expertise. We have passion for change.

The challenge

Bridging the financial gap

Each year we will identify a new challenge topic, raising awareness and generating insights around the most salient financial challenges facing Americans. 

The first challenge seeks to develop solutions that help consumers track and understand their cash flow, predictively plan for unexpected expenses, and better evaluate trade-off costs. Applications will be accepted February 24–April 7, 2015.
