Improving financial lives
The Financial Solutions Lab is a community of startups, financial services companies and nonprofit organizations building solutions to improve the financial lives of Americans.
Our aim is ambitious: Over five years we are identifying, testing and bringing to scale financial innovations that substantially improve the lives of hard-working Americans. We are armed with deep knowledge of consumer behavior and marketplace trends – as well as a hefty dose of financial services expertise. We share a passion for change.
FinLab and CFSI have given us an unparalleled opportunity to work with executives from the largest banks in the country, along with government and regulatory bodies. This access has been phenomenal as it has allowed Digit to be involved in conversations directly impacting the future of fintech.„Ethan Bloch Founder and CEO About Digit
I was in Corporate America – I've been to a million events before FinLab. Compared to any other group I've been in, they are incredibly responsive and supportive. It's been a great experience.„Sheri Atwood Founder and CEO About SupportPay
FinLab has been an incredible help to our business and I've been raving about the program to everyone I know. When we looked at many other accelerator programs the value proposition seemed to be mostly around generic best practices for building a new software business, a small initial amount of capital to get things going and access to future investors. I think where FinLab really stands out is in providing all of those things and very specific and difficult to find expertise around financial regulation.„Alex Marlantes Co-Founder and CEO About Everlance
The Lab was instrumental in helping us grow our business and providing the expert insights we needed to expand our solution to more underserved consumers. In fact, the newest iteration of our product was inspired by collaboration we developed through FinLab.„Jimmy Chen Founder and CEO About Propel
Building a Financially Healthier America
Our Challenge for 2017 is Improving Americans’ Financial Health.
Why this broad topic? Because most Americans are struggling financially. Some 57% of the population – or 138 million adults – have difficulty managing their day-to-day financial lives, establishing a cushion for financial resilience and positioning themselves for financial security and mobility. We’re broadening our search in order to encourage a greater diversity of solutions that address all kinds of obstacles on the financial health journey – whether consumers are just starting out, trying to develop a savings cushion, facing unexpected expenses like medical care or car repairs, or trying to retire without running out of financial resources.
Building solutions together
Have a passion for financial inclusion and a commitment to innovation? We welcome companies or organizations — new or established — to join us in this exciting endeavor.
